Cookies are small files stored in your browser. FixMate uses only strictly necessary cookies to work, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
What we use
- FMSID (on https: __Secure-FMSID) — session cookie, readable only by the server (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite). Keeps you logged in and protects forms against attacks (CSRF). Deleted when you close the browser or after 2 hours of inactivity. Necessary.
- site_lang — remembers your language (Ελληνικά / English / Shqip). Duration: 1 year. Functional.
- cookie_notice (browser local storage, not a cookie) — remembers that you closed the cookie notice so it won't show again.
- install_dismissed (local storage) — remembers that you closed the “Install the app” suggestion so it doesn't show again for 14 days.
- App cache (service worker) — keeps only the site's display files (CSS, JavaScript, icons) on your device for faster loading. It stores no pages and no personal data, and is removed together with the site data in your browser settings.
- Push notifications (only if you turn them on) — the browser keeps a subscription to show you notifications. Cancel it in the browser's notification settings or by logging out.
Messages (chat), notifications and the security system (firewall) use no additional cookies. The firewall works with the IP address of the request (see the Privacy Policy).
What we DON'T use
- Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any tracking tools.
- Advertising cookies or third-party profiling cookies.
The statistics professionals see (views, clicks) are simple daily counts, with no cookies and no visitor data.
Third-party services
Fonts, styling and maps are loaded from Google Fonts, cdnjs (Cloudflare) and OpenStreetMap. As we use them they set no cookies of their own, but they receive your IP address to deliver the files (see the Privacy Policy).
Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent (Art. 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006). That is why the cookie notice only has an "OK" button.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block FMSID you will not be able to log in.
